It’s always shocking for the victims of car accidents to learn that in Pennsylvania, the minimum required coverage for medical expenses is only $5,000 and many drivers choose to only purchase the minimum. But when compared to actual medical bills, this amount barely begins to cover the victim’s treatments.
This is why it’s not uncommon for those who have been hurt by a negligent driver to turn to an attorney for help. Our firm has helped many plaintiffs who have chosen to pursue a car accident lawsuit by reviewing the accident, determining who was at fault, handling all of the paperwork, contacting and consulting medical specialists, calculating both past and expected future losses, and preparing the case and the client for court.
Not every single case goes to trial, in fact, most end with a settlement which we carefully negotiate. The amount that is obtained for each client differs from case to case.
Our clients can expect constant and excellent communication throughout our entire process. We believe that the client is more important than the attorney and want you to feel comfortable and well informed. Contact us now to learn more about our firm and how we can help.

In most jobs, if a mistake is made, a correction can then be made. But when a medical professional makes a mistake, not only can it be hard to reverse any damage that has been done, it may even be fatal for the patient.
Just recently, a woman filed a lawsuit alleging that her surgeon performed the incorrect procedure. In November of 2016, the patient was admitted to the hospital for a surgery to remove a malignant tumor from one of her left adrenal gland near her kidneys. While under anesthesia, the surgeon instead took out nearly half of her healthy pancreas and did not remove the tumor.
Since the first surgery, she has had to undergo nearly 30 more surgical procedures because the pancreas is constantly leaking fluids which also causes constant, severe pain that the plaintiff describes to be like “someone continually stabbing you.” In addition to this, because of the large portion that was removed, the organ is no longer able to regulate insulin and she has become a diabetic. As for her cancer, due to her ongoing health issues caused by the surgical mistake, doctors have been unable to go in and remove the tumor which has now spread to the other adrenal gland.
This is just one example of how a physician’s mistake can change a person’s life entirely and it’s also an example of why doctors must have medical malpractice insurance.
If you believe that you or a loved one were injured by a medical professionals mistake, contact our law firm. Time is of the essence as there is a statute of limitations in medical malpractice cases and plaintiffs only have a limited amount of time to file.

While most construction workers know that legally their employers are required to have workers’ compensation insurance coverage for all employees and that this coverage should provide pay for their medical expenses and even a small portion of lost wages if they are hurt on the job, what they don’t realize is that a large percentage of these claims are denied every year. It is possible to appeal this decision, however, without the help of an attorney, it is very difficult to win an appeal.
In addition to this, many construction accident victims don’t realize that if another party contributed to the accident which caused them harm, they may be able to file a lawsuit which could provide them with all of the compensation that they need.
Not only will a verdict or settlement provide the plaintiff with expected future medical expenses, but it can also cover the full loss of wages and may even provide monetary compensation for physical and emotional pain.
