School Bus And Trolley Collide In Southwest Philadelphia

At least eight people were injured in an accident involving a school bus and SEPTA trolley in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday, November 1st. The collision occurred around 7:50 a.m. near the intersection of 57th Street and Woodland Avenue.

Seven of the people injured were on board the trolley – including six passengers and the operator. The driver of the school bus was also injured, but there were no children on board at the time of the accident.

Judge Rules That Man Can Sue Delaware County Trampoline Park

A Pennsylvania appeals court judge has ruled that a man can sue Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park for injuries he suffered on an allegedly defective trampoline. Although the man’s wife signed his name on a waiver, the court ruled that this signature is not legally enforceable since the man didn’t sign it himself.  The man broke his left leg in an accident on one of the park’s trampolines in May of 2014.

The couple sued the Delaware County trampoline park last year, but the company appealed to the Superior Court when a Delaware County judge refused to dismiss the lawsuit.

Tractor-Trailer Falls Off Overpass In Chester County

A tractor-trailer fell from an overpass on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County on Wednesday, October 25th. The driver lost control of the vehicle and went over the median before falling off the overpass and landing on the road below. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The tractor-trailer driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

6-Year-Old Boy Struck By School Bus In Camden

A 6-year-old boy was severely injured after he was struck by a school bus in Camden on Thursday, October 6th. He was struck by a bus coming from the opposite direction as he was crossing the street just after getting off another school bus. He was rushed into surgery following the accident after suffering extensive bone fracture injuries, including his pelvis and multiple breaks in his legs and feet.

Some witnesses say the bus driver appeared the be texting or reading something on his phone at the time of the accident. However, police say that have yet to find evidence that the driver was distracted by his phone or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They also said that a group of children was standing on the sidewalk when the 6-year-old suddenly darted into the street.
