Philadelphia Road Rage Crash Leads To Severe Injuries
A crash occurred on Thursday night, June 21, around 10 pm that is suspected to be caused by road rage. Witnesses of the accident described two vehicles weaving in and out of traffic and cutting each other off right before the crash occurred. The driver of an SUV tried to get away from the accident and turned into traffic and got hit by another vehicle. The SUV then slammed into a tree and rolled over in a parking lot on City Avenue. The other driver fled the scene of the accident and police are still searching for them. The driver of the SUV was taken to Lankenau Hospital with serious injuries. There was a female passenger in the SUV who was not hurt in the accident.
Accident On Atlantic City Expressway
On June 19th, just before 4 pm on the Atlantic City Expressway, an accident occurred in Hamilton Township. According to the New Jersey State Police, the driver of Chevy van was fleeing from an accident that occurred in the eastbound lanes. The police tried to stop the vehicle when the driver hit the guardrail and the sign to the Frank Farley Service Plaza. The hit and run driver when then arrested and thankfully no injuries were reported.
Accident On I-76 Causes Traffic Disruption
Early in the morning on June 21, a major accident occurred on the Schuylkill Expressway. The accident occurred around 4:30 am and involved several vehicles. The accident caused all the lanes approaching Girard Avenue to be shut down and caused several drivers to drive in the wrong direction down the ramp and others to turn around completely. Two people were reported to be injured but their conditions have not been released. The I-76 lanes were reopened around 5:20 am.
Car Crash On Roosevelt Boulevard
Just off of Summerdale Avenue, around 1:30 am on June 19, a pickup truck slammed into a tree, according to police. Two people were injured in the crash and one of them was a pregnant woman. The victims of the accident were taken to Einstein Medical Center. The cause of the accident is unknown.
