Transportation
The community is served by Meadowbrook Station, which is located on SEPTA Regional Rail’s West Trenton Line. The station is at Lindsay Lane and Mill Road in Abington and has off-street parking for station users.
On April 18, 1995, the station building was destroyed by a fire early in the morning, and it was rebuilt with a bus stop-style facility that now functions as the waiting area. Also, historical documents state that the station was once known as Paul Brook Station during the early development of the community and was maintained by the Old York Road Historical Society.

The community of Meadowbrook was named in the TV series The Goldbergs, an American sitcom that aired in 2013. This sparked some popularity in the community and was nicknamed “Meadowbrook Mafia” as mentioned in the sitcom episode.

Some prominent residents have lived in Meadowbrook over the years, with one being Gregg Murphy, a sports journalist for the Philadlephia Phillies. From 2012 until 2020, he worked as a field reporter for NBC Sports Philadelphia’s coverage of the Philadelphia Phillies and for CN8’s sports coverage.
