Multi-Vehicle Crash On The Schuylkill Expressway Causes Traffic Delays

On Thursday, September 6, a dump truck crashed and overturned on the Schuylkill Expressway in the westbound lanes around 6:15 am. The truck was carrying a load of sand which spilled out on the highway. The crash blocked all traffic in the westbound lanes and caused a gaper delay in the eastbound lanes which resulted in another accident. Another crash occurred near Belmont Ave the same morning which involved five vehicles and was moved to the shoulder of the road. Thursday morning had a total of seven crashes during morning rush hour on the Schuylkill Expressway. There were no reported injuries.

Fatal Single Car Crash Occurred On Roosevelt Boulevard

Around 9:05 am on Tuesday, September 11, a single car crash occurred on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia. According to witnesses, a car was driving very fast on the inner southbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard when the driver attempted to cross over into the outer lanes and lost control of the vehicle. The car hit the guardrail and then went airborne. The 31-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

9-Year-Old Girl Injured In North Philadelphia Hit-And-Run

Last month a 9-year-old girl was struck by a white Lexus while she was crossing the street in North Philadelphia at 25th and Norris. The Lexus was traveling south on 25th street and fled the scene of the accident leaving the young girl on the street. The car was last seen traveling east on Berks Street. The girl suffered injuries to her face and foot. The police are searching for the driver of the vehicle but were unfortunately not able to obtain a license plate number from video surveillance footage of the accident.  

Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Bucks County

A motorcyclist was in an accident in Bucks County on Sunday, September 9. The accident only involved the one vehicle and occurred along River Road in Upper Makefield Township. The motorcyclist died in the accident but authorities have not released the name of the victim or the details regarding the crash.
