Pink Martini: Sympathique 20th Anniversary Tour

Pink Martini offers a modern take on music you’d find in romantic Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and 50s. They’re an Oregon-based miniature orchestra which was founded in 1994 by a classically trained pianist named Thomas M. Lauderdale. They specialize in political fundraisers for causes like civil rights, environmental concerns, affordable housing, and public broadcasting. What initially started as a group of 4 has grown to 12, and the group has gained international acclaim after playing venues in Europe, Asia, Lebanon, Turkey, Canada, and the United States.

Curious George: The Golden Meatball

Curious George: The Golden Meatball is another music made for kids, but which parents will enjoy as well. Curious George has been a cultural institution for decades, so parents who read these books as kids will surely feel a sense of nostalgia as they watch this modern theater take on this classic children’s literature. This short 50-minute play follows George as he helps his friend Chef Pisghetti on All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day. A meatball machine is keeping the crowds away this year, so George tries to get the Chef’s Meatballs into Rome’s world-famous Golden Meatball Contest.
