State Trooper Injured While Responding To Crash

On Tuesday morning around 8:35 am, a state trooper was traveling on Route 522 in Snyder County to respond to a crash when a car pulled out in front of his cruiser causing an accident. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to flip over and land on their roofs. The driver of the vehicle that hit the cruiser was taken to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment and is reported to be in serious condition. The state trooper was also treated at Geisinger Medical Center for a minor injury. The accident is under investigation.

Fatal Accident On Roosevelt Boulevard

On Monday night around 10:15 pm, a pedestrian was struck and killed in Northeast Philadelphia at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Bustleton Avenue. The vehicle was a Lincoln Town Car driven by a 26-year-old male who remained at the scene of the accident. He told police that he was traveling through a steady green light and the 43-year-old pedestrian crossed the street on a steady red light. The victim was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where he passed away due to his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Septa Bus Crashes Into A Home In Northeast Philadelphia

On Thursday, July 5, a freak accident occurred in Northeast Philadelphia killing one and injuring several others. Around 6 pm, a SEPTA bus ran through a red light at the intersection of Frankford and Morrell Avenues. The bus then hit two cars and crashed into a home. There were three people sitting outside of the home at the time of the crash that were hit by the bus. A 21-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment and a 52-year-old man was instantly killed when struck by the bus. There were about 10 people on the bus and the driver and passengers were taken to the hospital to be checked out. The front of the house also sustained damage and police are calling this a freak accident.
