Car Accident In Southwest Philadelphia
Just after 3 am on Sunday, March 18, a car accident occurred between two vehicles in Southwest Philadelphia at Passyunk Avenue and 26th Street. According to police, a car didn’t stop when it came off of I-76 and slammed into a minivan. The minivan was carrying five individuals in it. There were five people reported injured in the accident. Three people were taken to Hahnemann Hospital and the other two injured people were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Fatal New Jersey Accident During Storm
During the nor’easter that came through on Wednesday, the roads were an especially dangerous place to be. The NJ governor had urged people to avoid travel as the roads became more dangerous and sadly one motorist lost his life in a weather-related car accident that occurred on Wednesday evening. On Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County, a vehicle collided with a bus and did not survive the accident. There are no other details currently given regarding this accident.
Deadly Accident In Horsham
A car accident occurred on Tuesday night in Horsham that resulted in the death of two people. The crash occurred around 6:30 pm on Easton Road and West Moreland Avenue. It was a multi-vehicle accident and the identities of the deceased have not been released to the public. The weather, unfortunately, played a role in this accident. Witnesses reported seeing a car slid on ice and spin out of control into oncoming traffic. The vehicle then hit another vehicle head-on.
Weather-Related Crash Shuts Down PA Turnpike For Hours
On Wednesday morning around 6:30 am two large trucks, one a car carrier, crashed into one another while driving westbound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported as a result of this accident but it did cause the roads to be closed for hours for clean up. Many of the cars that were being carried by one of the trucks were scattered across the highway or smashed.
