Fatal Crash In Northeast Philadelphia

On Monday, May 14, at 4:40 am a limousine and a sedan crashed into one another at the crossing of Cottman and Roosevelt Boulevard. A 29-year-old man was killed in the crash and two other men were injured in the crash. The road was covered in debris from the accident and the roads were closed while they were cleared and the police investigated. The roads were reopened and clear by 8:30 am but there is no indication as to what caused the accident.

Horrific Accident In Pottstown Leaves Two Men Seriously Injured

On Sunday, May 6, a driver was speeding down High Street in his 2013 Dodge Charger in Pottstown. The vehicle was moving at such a high speed that the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole splitting the car into two pieces. The 37-year-old Lancaster man who was driving the vehicle was ejected from the car and was not believed to have been wearing a seatbelt. He was severely injured and taken to Pottstown Hospital and then taken by helicopter to Reading Hospital Trauma Center. The 44-year-old man from Philadelphia who was the passenger in the vehicle was believed to have been wearing a seatbelt. He was also severely injured and taken to Pottstown Hospital as well. Police are investigating to try to determine the rate of speed at which the vehicle was moving prior to the violent crash. Both men are being treated for their injuries but no further update has been given on their conditions.

Cyclist Killed While Riding For Delivery Service In Philadelphia

On Saturday, May 12, a 34-year-old man was working for a food delivery service and using the bike lane on Spring Garden and 10th Streets when an SUV struck him around 7:40 pm. The weather on Saturday had periods of heavy rain and the cyclist was traveling and hit during the poor conditions. He was knocked off of his bicycle and run over by the SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. No charges have been filed and the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
